I'm in Oslo at the Oya Festival, playing keyboards in Yoko Ono's band, which, yes, is a total thrill and also more than a little bit scary.
Me being blond and vaguely nordic looking, I'm getting whole heaploads of Norwegian spoken at me (and lots of Swedish on the SAS flight over), and disbelieving looks when they realize I have no idea what is being said.
We're staying at the Grand Hotel, which is every bit as lovely as it looks like it should be.
I have yet to see any music, because we were rehearsing yesterday evening and are going to again this morning, but then I'll start checking out the festival. Today I'm hoping to see the Fall and the Twilight Singers.
